In summer 2015, six weeks after graduating high school, I began my first internship in the book publishing industry in editorial at Entangled Publishing. I went on to intern and assist at five literary agencies, including Stonesong, Triada US, and Writers House. I joined NetGalley as an Administrative Assistant in November 2020. I was promoted to Sales Assistant in July 2021, and to Sales Coordinator in July 2023.
In September 2024, I joined Azantian Literary Agency as an associate literary agent, representing YA fiction, queer adult romance, adult nonfiction, and graphic novels for all ages.
I continue to offer freelance editorial and sensitivity reading services, though please note: should you hire me for freelance work, this will disqualify me from representing you as a literary agent to avoid conflicts of interest.
I’ve also volunteered with organizations like #DVpit/Diverse Voices, Inc.; Tessera Editorial; and Quillers SWANA. As a queer, neurodivergent person, this work brings me a sense of fulfillment, and I’m always open to participating in programs along these lines.
I have had the pleasure of working with hundreds of authors, including:
Becky Albertalli: New York Times best selling author of Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, adapted into the film Love, Simon; as well as The Upside of Unrequited (set to be adapted for film); Leah on the Offbeat; Kate in Waiting; Imogen, Obviously; and Amelia, If Only, among others;
Gabe Cole Novoa: New York Times best selling author of Most Ardently, The Wicked Bargain, The Diablo’s Curse, and more;
Varian Johnson: author of The Parker Inheritance, which was named a best book of 2018 by Publishers Weekly, Kirkus, School Library Journal, and NPR; The Great Greene Heist; Twins; and many more;
Kelly Loy Gilbert: author of William C. Morris Award finalist Conviction, Picture Us in the Light, and When We Were Infinite;
J. Elle: New York Times bestselling author of Wings of Ebony, Ashes of Gold, A Taste of Magic, The Little Mermaid: Against the Tide, and more;
Ryan La Sala: indie bestselling and award-winning author of Reverie, Be Dazzled, The Honeys, Beholder, and The Dead of Night;
Jessica Kim: author of Stand Up, Yumi Chung!, named a best book of 2020 by Kirkus and winner of over a dozen state book awards; Make a Move, Sunny Park!; and On Thin Ice;
and many more.
